DIRECTIONS FROM THE GONDOLA:
From Historic Telluride's Colorado Avenue walk south on Oak Street to the
Gondola Plaza. Ride the free Gondola with breathtaking views of the Rocky
Mountains. Continue the ride over the San Sophia Ridge Station until you
land at Mountain Village Station. When you exit the gondola building head
left, go down the double staircase where you will arrive at the circular
Heritage Plaza. This plaza is marked by the larger than life bronze statue
of a Native American Ute Indian on horseback. With the Indian on your right
walk north heading straight to the Village Ice Skating Pond. Looking
northward across the pond you will see Forebears home furnishings,
circumnavigate the pond on the left side to discover Forebears stone
archway. Welcome.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM TELLURIDE:
From Historic Telluride, head east on highway 145 leaving the box canyon and
Bridal Veil falls behind you. Approximately 3 miles outside of town turn
left and begin your drive south on Hwy 145. At the top of Lawson Hill look
left, you will see the stone masonry walls and signage for Mountain Village
and Telluride Ski and Golf. Be careful not to miss the turn as the majestic
fourteen thousand foot Mount Wilson dominates the skyline to the South. Turn
Left onto the windy Mountain Village Boulevard. Continue past the golf
course, visitor's center and guard house, stay on Mountain Village Boulevard
until you see the Wyndham Peaks Hotel on the left and the Wells Fargo Bank on
your right. Forebears home furnishings is directly adjacent to Wells Fargo.
Park and enjoy Mountain Village's pedestrian core, watch the downhill skiers
from Forebears' showroom picture windows or the numerous open plazas.
